Job Description

The Project Manager/Executive Assistant is a new hybrid role within the company reporting to and collaborating with the Vice President of Technology. The role is responsible for managing and coordinating product lifecycles from planning and assessing third party technology providers to documentation, rollout and training. The ideal candidate is expected to take a hands-on approach to configuring and testing product solutions as needed

  • Collaborate with IT Team Leadership, company’s ownership and department leads to analyze and define the specific needs of the departments to implement and refine strategic and tactical technology projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans related to new product launches, including product enhancements, in coordination with third-party technology partners and key stakeholders.
  • Identify, organize, and prioritize incoming projects.
  • Manage staff by providing direction, coaching employees and communicating job expectations.
  • Adhere to project deadlines by delegating tasks to departmental employees.
  • Monitor, organize, and improve project tracking systems for the Vice President and organize and maintain relevant program files. Communicate regular status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Document supporting information as relevant to projects, (i.e. knowledge base/FAQs).
  • Configure product solutions to match business requirements.
  • Provide and execute testing, rollout strategies, and production support handoff plans.
  • Develop product-specific training programs prior to product launches.
  • Assess the applicability and viability of select third-party solutions supporting the company’s technology and corporate vision.
  • Create business cases and vision statements for viable product and business process improvement solutions.
  • Provide hands-on support for special projects as needed.
  • Travel industry experience and/or a strong willingness to develop expertise in corporate and leisure travel operations preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in managing small-, medium-, and large-scale technology projects and product launches required. Willingness to work hands-on is required.
  • Must balance working independently and as a team in a fluid and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Sabre and/or Worldspan helpful.
  • Strong written and oral analytical skills coupled with the ability to think creatively to solve problems and overcome challenges is required.
  • Must be organized and able to follow-up continuously and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of business analysis/intelligence reporting principles is helpful.
